Hi Guys ,

Me and my buddy have been discussed about this project since the first pics of this cool character design pop out on the internet .. and my buddy has been working on this 3D model long ago , due to limited reference . Finally my buddy already complete this model and helmet already in 3D printing process..

Helmet will be cast in 2 pieces by strong Resin Fiberglass , the main helmet and lower back head piece . Back piece will be attached with strong magnet . Will fit up to 23 - 23.5 " of melon , might fit bigger size depends on head shape :D . The eyes lenses will be lighten up with Super bright BLUE LED light with a small on off switch .

I will offer FINISHED READY TO WEAR OR DISPLAY helmet on this RUN . The price will be around 400 - 450 USD . Depends on the details that ill put into this helmet .

Pls post here if u are interest , will request for deposit when im ready to mold the helmet .

Kindly post here or PM if u have any question . I will ask my buddy to post more pics and more detail of this helmet.

Cheers and thanks for looking .

and I actually try another way for putting up the printed pieces together :)
Think it works even better than the way I glue my Iron man Nightclub :thumbsup

Just to share my experience how I work in this helmet :D

I created ribs on where it slice to printable part to the helmet, and insert a M4 screw hole to each parts.
Tighten parts by M4 x 8 screw and nut. As all hole is align in parts, so the more you tighten to screw and nut it just pull/ align parts to the right position and seam the join line.
Parts to parts surface is so far the most blending smooth than any other of my work :)

Another plus point is..... the ribs directly strengthen the whole helmet as structuring, and it really works.... I'm happy with this although it took more work to the 3D model :devil

We plan to deal the side plate separately to see if need to mold the side plate and glue back for easier to work but is up to my buddy to decide :)

So on the printed prototype, I have the side plate detach and bind with 4 tapping screw for Leslee to work.... I think is better to work like that during mastering them :)

Going to ship this baby to him by next few days ;)

So anyone interest in this helmet and like to be one of it in this run please post here or send him PM :thumbsup, cheers!

This looks excellent, although for the life of me I don't know how you'll be able to see out of it without looking sideways.

Superb modeling, and great idea with the ribs for registration.

Thanks mate :)

It wasn't an issue to see from wearing this helmet, photo here with my head in and I'm sure the eye hole are sufficient enough to look straight out from center of the eyes.

only thing is that you need a head sock to cover the ear as the design of this helmet is higher and reaching top side of the neck :)

I will send the helmet to Leslee and design the LED eye kit for proper mounting to the eyes hole later, and work it out to get maximum viewing area from wearing this helmet.:thumbsup
Cheers!
