Batman Returns Batmobile questions....

I don't really know where to post this, but since the Batmobile is a pretty big prop...i thought here would work, if not MODS please move it.

Anyways...during Batman Returns, after the Batmobile splits up and becomes the missile..We see Bruce in the batcave already working on fixing it up, y isn't that batmobile in forever? I mean if he was already on his way restoring and fixing it up it shoulda been in forever right?
