Re: Batman Begins/The Dark Knight linked belt project

On the belt I assume you will have pouches and the tubes but will you have the Batarang holders???

Pouches/tubes will be add on's they wont come with the belt I wouldn't think. And yeah somewhere in the thread I "believe" Kev has said they will be building a rang holder as well. Not 100% but I'm sure it will be in the works now that there are such nice rangs to hold. :cool ;)

Re: Batman Begins/The Dark Knight linked belt project

sorry I tried to edit my last post but wont take. They are 128mm

Re: Batman Begins/The Dark Knight linked belt project

Is it possible to get one or two cut in half to do the hinged version???

The hinged version of the rang is a lot bigger so using these rangs as a base would not work. However, it is in the works and I may have found the same type of hinges they used in the movie.

Re: Batman Begins/The Dark Knight linked belt project

You would have to do the finish work yourself to make them fold. But that might be another project I work on down the line. Folders should a bigger rang to start.

Re: Batman Begins/The Dark Knight linked belt project

I was trying to look at the Noble Collection one and they say it's 9 inches but I don't know if that includes the case. If it does then it's about 7" maybe????

I tried looking it up but had no luck.

Can't wait to get these.

Re: Batman Begins/The Dark Knight linked belt project

Just a quick update for you guys. Been getting a lot of inquiries as to when this would be finished. Top notch screen accuracy is our goal with the belt and we've been able to get accurate measurements of the real belt that made it clear to us that our belt was out of scale. :wacko Just a bit too big.

Good news is we're going to rebuild it from the bottom up and Endoskeleton is making it a priority project. Gonna be more accurate, cleaner, and easier to assemble than ever. Anticipate new molds early in the new year. Keep an eye on the trading area for an interest list.

Thanks for the interest everyone. :thumbsup

kev, if it worth doing, its worth doing right. you know im up for one

Re: Batman Begins/The Dark Knight linked belt project

Thanks for the update! It will definately be worth the wait.

Re: Batman Begins/The Dark Knight linked belt project

To piggyback on Kev's comment... we decided to start from scratch and make the belt - not only true to scale but also true to every aspect of the original belt. Here's a pic of the new dial in its current stage compared to the old one. This was shot 5 mins after a coat of primer... once it dries and levels out, it will be nice and smooth just like the original ;)

Re: Batman Begins/The Dark Knight linked belt project

:eek Ken is incredible with small detailed work. And keep in mind this is all scratch built by hand without a computer or machine. Although I do think Ken is a machine at times. :lol

Couple of notes. The old one were working on is the white one and the new one is black. He hasn't gotten to the point of cutting out the notches in the edge. Notice not only the size difference but some of the detail differences. Subtle and you really have to look close but the black one is the more accurate of the 2. :)

I haven't been this excited about a project in a long long time. And we hope to wrap it all up in January.
:cool

man I hope I can get in on this...

Hope so. You've proven to be a big fan of this iteration of Batman.:)

I am confident in saying that not only will this be the most accurate linked belt made available but also one of the most affordable. Will post an interest thread in the Junkyard to reveal pricing real soon.

Small update. Still on the real tedious stuff. But it is moving along real steady. Lots more in the new year.
