For the longest time I wasn't a fan of the Tim Burton Batman movies...but I always loved the car. So, as soon as the re-issue was available I picked one up.

I decided to start with the cockpit. I wanted to add some lighting so I decided to use fiber optics and an SMD for the video monitor.

In Part 2 I tackle the headlights and taillights using SMD's: https://youtu.be/qI9n3YZpWhg

The space for the bulbs is very tight so I chose to use pre-wire surface mount LED's (SMD's).

It took a couple attempts to get the headlight illuminated. At first I tried 3mm light emitting diodes (LED's). I wasn't happy with the results, so I pulled the headlights back out and went with the surface mount LED's, or SMD's.

For the headlights I used 3020 pre-wired SMD's. For the tail lights I used the smaller 0603 SMD's. Both types I purchased from Jerry at HDA Modelworx.
