Working on a set of 89/Returns weapons

89 Speargun (a finished kit from eBay that had a broken spear) - I'm getting a Necca one, so I might convert this to a Returns version

Looking good. I scratch built the Dual Line Launcher from Batman Returns a long time ago, where did you find the file? Or did you model it? I've always meant to come back to this prop and make a better one. I'll be very interested to see how yours comes out.

Do you have any good shots of the Returns speargun?
It's the same gun. Just look up Valor's threads. We discussed this extensively. Your little diagram shows the same gun but the silver side is the opposite side, so the image is reversed making them point the same direction.

And the button picture is a different gun altogether because it's the actual firing mechanism that was used in a split second shot you weren't supposed to see aka camera/ movie magic.

Do yourself a favour and do some research here before starting a new post about something that's been discussed to death. There is a thread about this subject and I suggest you find it.

Got the first half printed (took about 1 day 4hrs) printing the second spear now.

Edit:
So I'm turning this to a general prop thread as I'm going down the rabbit hole of things to make

Installing magnets to click and hold the spears into the launcher, so they don't slide out. The hole in the launcher is 44mm so it fits the magnets I use for my Raimi Spider-man lenses perfectly!

Got some 44mm dowels for the spear instead of relying on the ones provided on the 3D print

Magnets were too strong, so I just have both spear tips attached to the same dowel.

It's finished, overall pretty pleased, could be a little smoother (using wood filler) but not bad.

Looks cool. I don't think the prop is actually black. In the Batman Returns making of book it looks a dark metallic grey. Yours did come out really well. May have to buy those files!
