Bandai Vehicle Model 008 AT-ST and Snow Speeder builds

With this kit my husband plan is to scratch build a cockpit for the snow speeder and possibly add some detail mods to the AT-ST. The challenge here is the scale... Both should be 1/144. If this goes well, I will be adding cockpits to my 1/144 fleet.

Here's a general unboxing and initial build up of this kit:

Those shapeways snowspeeder cockpits are excellent. I picked up the closed version with pilots and installed it a few days ago. Modifying the speeder is pretty straightforward, and the cockpit looks fantastic.

(note that the canopy is mis-aligned in the last two shots because I haven't glued it in place yet)

I know you plan on scratch building, but there are these.

I haven't picked them up yet, but they are on my list. The benefit for me is that there are pilot figures in the closed one as well as the air flaps

It will still be a challenge getting them installed

That saves me time for sure! Thanks for sharing!

Been following your posts for a bit. You do very nice work. I just purchased the canopy and flaps myself from Shapeways. Have you tried adding the flaps yet? If so any advice?
