Bandai release schedule

I had planned on adding to the light kit, but in the end my lack of knowledge led me to start fresh with a clean slate and build my own. I used two led strips for the engine light. I used dimmers, switches and an ac adaptor from Amazon.

This is exactly how I did it as well, minus the dimmers.

Worked beautifully.

So, at the risk of opening up a can of worms here; I have heard rumors that Bandai may be discontinuing the PG falcon? Is there any truth to this? I've been waiting to pick one up because it hasn't been out very long and I just figured I had time...but if I need to go ahead and pull the trigger before they are gone then I will.
Don't spread false rumors.

Also consider tooling has likely been paid for and every repop is money for them now.

Apologies, as this is veering from the topic title but-

I don’t know the guy but this is his FB link.

Thanks for the link, I just purchased the files (not sure if I can share the price, but it was VERY reasonable). They're absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend, especially if you have a resin printer. He said he's continuing to work on the cockpit details and would send updated files to everyone who purchased once those were done.

I know very little about 3D printing hope you don’t mind if I ask a few questions.

1. If I bought the files could i get them printed somewhere like Shapeways? How expensive would it be to print the whole model?

2. Would the parts need sanding to look smooth like the photos?

1. You could, but it would likely be very expensive. For example, I uploaded one of the hull pieces (there are 4 of them that make up the center part of the ship), and it was $38. He's split the files so there's a bunch of prints, but you don't detail while printing and assembly is relatively easy. That doesn't work well with Shapeway's pricing. It'd probably be a couple hundred dollars at least.

2. I'm not sure what all he did for those photos, he did mention primer. Likely he used a resin printer which typically leave very small print lines. He may have lightly sanded with a high grit (400+), but typically primer and paint hide most of the print artifacts

Your best bet would be to purchase the files for yourself and see if someone would be able to print them for you.

Thanks for the info!

A guy named Jeff Lu on Facebook posted these and I thought for minute it was from Bandai. Great looking model but turns out it’s his own 3D printed model. I think he’s selling the STL files for those interested. I still hope Bandai makes this kit.
