Bandai release schedule

At first I thought "Yawn, it's a re-issue of VM 003 molded in different colors, just like the 1:72". Then I looked at the page.

HOLY !@&^ IT'S GOT A FULL COCKPIT AND PILOT.

Gobsmacked.

EDIT:

DAMMIT BANDAI.

Someone screwed up and put the 1:72 photos on the Vehicle Model page. Aargh. Back to yawn on that one.

Yeah, sorry about that. Their web master screwed that up.

If you click on the 1/72 version on the main page, it takes you to the mini page and the mini takes you to the 1/72. :facepalm

It's hard to tell from the photos available (on http://bandai-hobby.net/sw/jp/products/millenniumfalcon_144.html), but it looks like they might have fixed the mirrored sidewalls?

Yup. And now I'm sad about the TFA Falcon sitting in my closet waiting to be built :)

Interesting to see the new stuff from Bandai for Last Jedi. Anyone seen or heard ANYTHING about what's coming from Revell for Last Jedi? Even though sometimes they are disappointing, everyone once in a while they nail it like with Kylo Ren's shuttle.

Well, it's not Force Friday in Europe or the US yet, so we shall see.

I am surprised that Bandai did not announce, at least, a TIE Silencer. Seemed like a no-brainer.

It is past midnight in Japan, so this appears to be the list.

Looks like they are playing it safe on this one and I can't say as I blame them!

Yeah, with the exception of the executioner trooper, these are all just slightly modified, or repacked things we have already seen

hopefully once the movie hits they will do some of the other vehicles, at least the completist in me is hoping they do.

Then again with the lackluster designs, maybe not. I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot more figures than vehicles

Wow! That's a bit of a surprise. But I guess it makes sense to tie it in with the marketing of the next film. I'm surprised that those dorky rocket launcher type things on the knuckles weren't modelled though.

I'm relieved it doesn't affect me any - it took stupid amounts of time to make Original Trilogy replacements. :)

Couple thoughts on the TLJ kits:
C-3PO no longer has a red arm. These are billed as TLJ kits, so either he's been changed in the movie or it's an oversight on the kit. Also, no longer has a silver shin. c3po_r2d2_00.jpg
Ohhhhhh... I get it. The Executioner Stormie has a battle axe where energy bolts replace the blades. Meh. Same design philosophy as the "gorilla" walker, me thinks. first_stormtrooper_exe_03.jpgMC-HK-1098_2_.png

I guess all those destroyed X-wings must have really shortened the "TO DO" list of the resistance technicians, so they could get to fixing up C3PO.

The Revell TFA command shuttle, if you don't already have it, is actually a solid kit (especially for Revell). It's not 1/72, but it's a good size and the detail is excellent.

I know, but I'm trying to stick to one scale for these and this is the one I settled on some years back. Big enough for detail, small enough to not overwhelm as the numbers grow (Star Trek shuttles, Macross Valkyries, a few real-world aircraft, and several other fictional craft).
