Bandai release schedule

I use Tamiya AS-20 Insignia white straight from a spray can for a base coat (did not prime the model) and Weber Oderless Turpenoid to thin for my oil wash.

I did have a problem with the 1/72 X-wing

I suspect a combination of the Tamiya paint not really being true acrylic, but instead being more akin to a laquer along with the stress on the part and the combination of the oil/turpenoid

I've done a few bandai things, and have not run into a problem on those, but I was careful not to put too much wash on at on time as well as priming the model, or at least getting some primer in places where I thought the wash might get inside and pool.

I used quite a bit of Weber Turpenoid to paint washes on my Falcon and haven't had any problems so far, but now you've made me a bit paranoid.

I guess it's worth mentioning I primed with Mr. White Surfacer and applied Tamiya AS-20 Insignia White on top of that, so it does have a bit of a barrier

1/72 falcon - Hell Yeah... the 144 TFA falcon even with its inaccuracies is a fantastic model. I would hope that they this is a 1/72 version of the 5 footer - its very tough to tell form the pics past that its NOT a replica of the 32" Falcon.

I would "hope" that it has the option to build as the TFA falcon or the 5 footer... but that's probably just wishful thinking too many greeblie changes on the side walls between the two. in any case it will be one I pick up for sure. I notice they haven't released or suggested a price like they did with the other kits... hmmmm....

It has a combination of details, the top engine deck looks like 5' but the top of the cockpit tube is more 32".

For the size you figure they would have made the pipes in the circular holes and other openings round separate parts, not molded in like the 1/144.

Like I posted in the other thread, I love Bandai, but...they teased us with an AT-AT, they teased us with an Imperial Star Destroyer, they teased us with a 1/2 R2, now they tease us with a 1/72 Falcon and a 1/2 BB8?

Not holding my breath until I see a release date and price.
