Bandai release schedule

There is a tag in front of it saying "Plastic Model". Anyway, the Movie Realizations look great!

Yep, over on SSM someone had said that it was an action figure, now they're not so sure....

It does seem strange that they'd release this as a kit when there's so much TFA to focus on

Yeah, it will be disappointing if they do a Shadow Trooper (never had any interest in the EU) before they'd do at least phase I and II clonetroopers and maybe a Jango Fett. Their clonetrooper action figure looks sweeet. Glad to see a Captain Phasma in there. Since I have the R2/R5 kit, I think when I get the BB-8/R2 kit I'll modify the R2 into rocket mode -- just for the fun of it.

The Shadow Trooper is a model kit, the placard states that it's only available through the Premium Bandai online shop, sort of like a special/limited edition kit so it's not part of the main line and shouldn't affect release schedules.

Sorry if I missed this, but will Bandai release a 1/12 TIE Pilot? (ANH or TFA) Since they've released several stormtrooper kits I was wondering if they had any plans to do the pilot . . .

Thank you for claryfying. :thumbsup

The Shadow Trooper is from its FigureArts line.

I saw that, too. It looks great!

There's no news about a 1/12 TIE, but I don't see why they shouldn't do it. The sandtrooper was obviously just an upgrade of the stormtrooper kit, so a TIE pilot would need to be an entirely new tool. Eventually, I'd like to see the TIE pilot, the AT-AT pilot and a snowtrooper. And of course, the clone versions too.

Have we figured out yet whether or not the falcon will come with the battle damage already there?

I really hope not

Apparently they are releasing a Black Poe's X-wing:

Good find. It will be interesting to see how a black X-wing (and for that matter, black TIEs) look in outer space. That's assuming there even ARE space shots in this new "star" wars movie. In two trailers so far there is only 1 shot showing vehicles in outer space (Kylo Ren's shuttle flying toward the SD in trailer 2). Apparently the Falcon and X-wings only have "space" battles as close to a planet's surface as possible! :p

That is one of my biggest concerns with Abrams at the helm. If Star trek is any indication then he doesn't know how to tell a story. The time for getting from point A-B is a great down time between action sequences. The original Star trek was great for that. ("At warp 2 we will make it to the Olaf system in 27 hours") So was the original star wars trilogy. But Abrams star trek removed all of the space travel from the equation. It felt like a toddler directed the movies.

I wouldn't go that far. I think JJ lives by the "cut to the chase" mantra, which is usually a good thing, but I agree at times his work often displays ADD (especially Into Darkness -- which had many of the "flaws" that fans complain about in the PT). I truly hope the movie is good. I just think it's funny to see some fans getting all giggly over things like "Captain Phasma" when if George Lucas had come up with that name they'd be rolling their eyes and whining about raped childhoods. Anyway, I'm getting off topic.

This will not be the first movie to show black planes in space. "Space: Above & Beyond" featured black Chig Fighters. The VFX team used the lighting to show them off (e. g. shots in front of colourful nebulas and special camera movements causing changing surface reflexions).
