Bandai release schedule

Still waiting for the 1/48 Y-Wing... C'mon Bandai. Pleeeeeeease. I would be the first in line for it when it's announced. Lots of people would buy one, I promise. PLEASE. PLEASE. PLEASE.

I would expect a non-motorized 1/48 x-wing and TIE fighter before a y-wing. Not that I expect those either.

Given the fact that one of the earlier Bandai Star Wars kits was a 1:48 X-wing, and given that they clearly analyze past sales for future models very carefully, I suspect that the chances of them releasing upsized versions of existing kits in 1:48 scale are pretty low. Sadly.

Its getting close, but there is still a far way to go for getting 3D prints to look like Bandai models. Perhaps in a much larger scale.

Resin printing with 0.01 layer height is very good. Then with paint is not bad. Print sizes are getting way larger too and prices for units dropping significantly.

That said, it's hard to beat an injection moulded solution.

Is there any info on re-release of the LED - Limited edition - 1/72 Falcon? All the shops seem to be sold out. Does anyone know if these will be made available again, or is the run over? Hoping I can avoid paying $500+

Thanks!

Really the LED lights are nothing special, one can do far better lighting with beginner skills on their own. If I were to do another PG Falcon, I'd do my own.

That said, it's all the stencil de also you get with the kit which I find key. You can sometimes find them on eBay.

It looks like they are doing another run in February:

Should answer your question, IG11 and stormtrooper variants also shown late last year. They're only on episode 3 over there though.

Hell yes!

I had hoped to get a little more new New-Trilogy-kits 'till april, then just two small versions of the x-wings...
considering that Rise hardly beats rogue one at box office (which sells were already considered a flop when compared to regular episodes), I wouldnt expect that many new releases from this movie.

Looks more like a S.H. Figuarts, than a model kit

Hell yes!

Those are SH Figuarts I’m afraid. Bandai have never done SW model kits outside of the movies. I would love to be wrong in this case as a Razor Crest would be an instant buy for me, but I just can’t see it. I’ve been hoping for a 1/144 Ghost for ages now (it was even in Rogue One and TROS), but I’d be amazed if this happens too.

Rebels never became the breakout hit that Clone Wars became, so not surprised Bandai and Disney never issued a kit of the Ghost. What gives the Razor Crest some hope is that The Mandalorian is a popular hit among fans and non-fans. So far it isn't generating the baggage of controversy and negativity that TLJ and TROS have generated. Since the movies are going on hiatus for a couple of years, the show is Disney's flagship Star Wars brand for the foreseeable future (at until their Kenobi and Cassian Andor shows arrive). Disney isn't going to turn down clear opportunities to make some sweet sweet Baby Yoda coin. If they do, they're even worse at handling the franchise than it already appears.
