Bandai release schedule

It looks awesome! Also I noticed on Bluefins I.G page. It said 1st wave of TROS model kits, hopefully that means more and we could still get some Mando kits down the line.

I think it’s highly unlikely we’ll see kits from the Mandalorian. Bandai’s SW kits have only ever been from the films, never from ancillary series. I’m guessing their licence does not include anything outside the movies. I’d love to be wrong but the evidence is there.

Why not for an more accurate Falcon?

I’m sure the Falcon is highly accurate as it’s based on the Ep. IX version.

About the new/old radar dish, this site Part I: The Miniatures - Millennium Falcon Notes by a fellow member confirms (at least to me it looks like it's confirmed) that the "new" round dish from EpIX shown by Bandai is indeed the same dish seen in EpIV. So it looks like Chewie and Lando found another dish after all these years.

If I copy-paste the tweet on Google Translate I get this:
"Scheduled to be released in October
"1/144 Millennium Falcon (Star Wars / Dawn of Skywalker)" is on display!

Reproduce the round antenna with new modeling!

Paw and fins are included with the pilot parts.
Accepting general reservations soon!
#All Japan Model Hobby Show #STARWARS #StarWarsTheRiseOfSkywalker
"

So it's a 1/144 model of the EpIX Falcon.

Now, from the site above mentioned:

Is it me or do those maintenance pits on the mandibles look different?

Does this make the 1/5000 SD Studio Scale? ;) From 'Sculpting a Galaxy':

I thought I took a close up of the new dish yesterday, but appears I didn’t. I do enjoy the green X-Wing a lot, and yes they completely retooled it for the new colour separation.

I also asked for a TIE Bomber, and I got a wink and a smile in response.

Also the guys are super proud of the Star Destroyer.

So to their credit, while it seemed like a straight re-pop with a different color scheme, it effectively is a new tooling for many parts. Also, getting the R2 units in the droid slots might have needed new parts as well

So a little more work involved

I also asked for a TIE Bomber, and I got a wink and a smile in response.

Also the guys are super proud of the Star Destroyer.

Hoping we will see the new A-wing or Y-Wing or the new tie at some point, but I would also happy trade all those for a 1/72 Tie Bomber for the next wave

And they have every reason to be proud of the Star Destroyer, it is a masterpiece

Different from which version? I’ve just glanced at them but the TROS maintenance pits look the same as the TFA and TLJ pits. Obviously these differ from the OT pits.

I’ve updated my review page with what we know so far.

I expect the pilot figures and base moulding may also change again.

I want the TLJ version of Kylo's TIE, but I do also like that Y-Wing.

I am hopeful for that TIE Bomber that may have been obliquely hinted at... And I feel like an ungrateful sludge for just wishing they'd do an ESB version of the PG Falcon and a 1/72 Slave I -- the cheapest I can find the FM Boba version is $200.

I like the orange on then X wing. Very 1970’s retro.
Reminds me of the X wing I made awhile ago-

oh I love that idea! (coz that's the Ralph McQuarrie color scheme on a resistnace x-wing, right?) Nevermind, just found your Ralph McQuarrie x-wings on the forum.

Looks amazing, congrats. Any modifications on that x-wing or is it just the Bandai kit?

Huh weird. I always said the radar dish on the falcon for TROS was round but everyone kept saying it was triangular with curved edges...

Ya know, now that they've done this version with the round dish, all they'd really have to do to give us a 1:144 OT Falcon would be to change the docking rings, side walls, and maintenance pits.

I suppose the lower hull too, but it's still way cheaper than doing it from scratch because a ton of the leg work is done.
