here's my interpretation of Bandai's nifty little kit:

Looks great. Makes you wonder why the Rebels flew down into that long trench from the outside of the DS to the Reactor instead of just going to the open side of the DS and shooting torpedoes at it from there.

Thanks! Well, if they did that... We wouldn't have had that amazing scene of them flying through the Death Star to destroy the reactor... The other way you suggested would be boring...lol

Looks great. What paints and weathering techniques did you use?

I use Mr Surfacer 1500 Black as a primer/base coat... Then I used a Tamiya Light Grey acrylic for the main color. I also used some Rub n Buff wax paints in some areas and dry brushed with the pewter Rub n Buff. The bits of red were dry brushed with some red oil paint. I used two washes on the entire model... One was lamp black oil diluted with mineral spirits, the other was a dark brown diluted the same.

I may just skip lighting this little guy... for now...lol... I have so many other projects that I'm working on and need to get done. Like my Bespin diorama. Here's the little guy displayed on my shelf:
