Back To The Future Plutonium Case.

It’s been a while! As I said in my previous posts, I’m new to the RPF and still need to get used to posting on here and properly figuring out how to navigate the site! Done a few new BTTF related builds lately that I thought I’d do a couple new threads regarding! Firstly I found a nicely priced flight case, almost the same size as the one in Doc Brown’s possession! This is around 4cm taller, but I can live with that. Otherwise the sizes are spot on! I’d have changed the locks to the larger ones but I couldn’t find ones with small enough top sections to fit the case! Couple of progress pics from painting and the mostly finished product below! I’m gonna add a full interior to it soon. Will post an update when it’s done!

Hello, oh yes. Very nice build! I have almost the same case standing here in the corner, but with crome corners and black wood parts.
Mine is 15x17x23 inches. Are there some official measurements from the real one in the movie? I think from the pictures its just 12" high in the

I have it for years and bought it for my tools in germany. Now I know what to do with it. Thank you very much! :)

You should be able to find the measurements at anvill.com

It was one of theirs
Hi, the url is Welcome to Anvil
But that’s not what I meant. I meant is there a measurement from the real prop used in the movie? Could be that the case is custom changed by the movies prop department to fit under the bed for example in the first scene. Stuff like that happens in movies.

From what has been researched it is a standard case from Anvil.

Productions commonly use it for camera lenses

*UPDATE*

Finished the interior! I wasn’t paying $1200 for a set of ‘genuine’ plutonium canisters made from acrylic. So I bought twelve 50p glasses from a local supermarket, flipped they babies upside down- and added some caps from a pump spray bottle to the top. Not PERFECT, but definitely good enough for a quick display at events!

Again, apologies for not getting back to peoples questions- it’s not intentional! I just always forget to check on here- but I’m gonna try to make sure I do it more regularly!
