Back to the Future in Theaters all over the US

Sorry guys, not going to make it up tomorrow. To much going on and I don't feel to hot either.

Don't be too surprised if a guy in a DeLorean shows up looking for me.

And I mean that, I invited a guy to show up with us in his DMC. Now I can't seem to get a hold of him.

darn, i am sorry to hear that...It is very unfortunate...Hopefully, we will get to see you at the next prop party in 5 to 10 years

Here's a not-yet-completed Time Machine in the 'burbs of Chicago. Check out who the cop is talking to.

:)

I'm officially conflicted about dressing up as Marty again...

I just saw that Claudia is going to be at the screening tomorrow night, too via her FB page:

"Claudia Wells - Monday (Oct 25th), you can find me introducing and doing a short Q and A at the evening screening of Back To The Future at Punte Hills AMC theatre and signing your posters for an hour after the show...."

Awesome for everybody, but just how much of a dork do I want to look like. I did message her to let her know about the little get together beforehand...you never know!

So, who all is going in costume, 80's attire?

I was the only one in costume at the Uni screening, but I also got quite a few nods of approval...

I dunno...help a brother out here...

For me, it was all jeans, tennies, and t-shirts in the 80's. Pretty much the same as now!

I really wish I had a Sports t-shirt...

If it is raining, I won't be wearing my jacket.

Oh, and the color isn't exactly right, but I'm bringing along a pile of "Save The Clocktower" fliers for all of us to have Claudia sign.

She was really nice, took a bunch of time with everybody, signed whatever anybody put in front of her, took pics, etc. So in addition to our posters, I thought we might want to get these signed, too. :D

Looks like she usually has them at her table when she does shows.

People were bringing up those smaller version the theatre was handing out and she as writing the message on the back. That's what inspired me when I saw she was gonna be there tonight. :)

About to start heading in the direction of the theater where I'm going to see it. And I'm taking my copy of "Back to the Future: The Official Book of the Complete Movie Trilogy" by Michael Klastorin and Sally Hibbin to thumb through while I am waiting. :D

So is this stil pretty accurate?

1-PHArchivist (Rob)
2-Jedifyfe (Brad)
3-EvilRocketeer (Michael)
4-Gobler (Jeff)
5-Jeff's wife
6-Slave1pilot (Nate)
7-Mrs. Slave1pilot (Michelle)
8-Mr. Fusion )Steve)

So we'll need about eight seats in the theater? Two rows of four...?

I really underestimated the Philadelphia BTTF fanbase. I tried to get tickets for tonights 7PM show, but they were sold out. Took my kid to the theater about an hour early, too.
Didn't see many BTTF fans, except for one guy who showed up with a Marty McFly Jr. shiny color changing rainbow caps on. He was bummed they were sold out as well.

Just got back from the theater. It was great watching it in the theater. There was a three-question quiz for some prizes that were being given away (one copy of the BTTF trilogy on Blu-Ray, the BTTF card game, and the BTTF card game with the new Pizza Rehydrator card). I could have answered the questions, but A. I didn't remember the price of gas in Hill Valley. B. A couple of people screamed out the answers of what color was Marty's underwear and (I forgot what the second question was). C. By the time the last question was asked, the only thing left was the Blu-Ray disc. And I don't own a Blu-ray player.

But, overall, it was awesome. After the showing, I picked up the poster they were giving away. :D There was only one person there that was dressed up in costume, and that was a semi-accurate BTTF Marty outfit (he even explained that he made replicas of the button on Marty's jacket and has sold over a few dozens of them) and even spoke with another BTTF fan who is working on a documentary about the film trilogy and is not only friends with Claudia Wells (Jennifer from the first film), but she is going to be the narrator of the documentary. :D

I went to see the Saturday showing. The lights went down, the movie came on, and it was upside-down and double focused. :confused

Over the next hour the staff tried to "fix" it though each of the 6 times they tried again nothing had changed. :angry

Eventually they gave everyone their money back and a free ticket. :unsure

Still, got to hang out with my friends that brought their delorean. They wound up being the stars for the day as everyone hung out around thier car as a consolation prize.

This is why you need to get into the habit of buying tickets online and in advance. People laugh at me when I buy tix a week and a half/2 weeks early, but I'm not the one who misses the show. You can't take risks like that, especially with such a limited release.

It was really cool seeing the film in theaters, but am I the only one who finds the cheering and clapping from the crowd obnoxious? I was in the AMC in Times Square and people were cheering and hooting as the credits were rolling at the beginning of the film.

I don't know. Maybe I have a stick up my butt. :eek

Had amazing time with every-one..

Claudia Wells was there and had a group photo with all of us..
