I recently bought one of masteredis baby yoda kits. Out of the box I was very impressed with the sculpt.i own 3 of masteredi sculpts and he does not disappoint. Anyway the first thing I did was mod the ears,I heated the tops, and pushed the point down and rolled them in a bit. Then I sanded the bottom of the ears back about a half inch. Once that was done I hit it with primer and started painting. I’ve painted quite a few smaller scale yodas over the years, but this is completely different. The colors are a lot lighter, and more colorful. I’m two days into it and so far I think I’m on the right track. Or at least I hope I’m on the right track.

This looks awesome so far. Well done. What is the base color you are using for the yoda green and are you air brushing or brushing? I have a 3D print I’m working on with our Makerspace class and we are about to start the paint phase :)
Any direction is appreciated!
Thanks
Shane

Think I’m about done. Eyes are taped in,I’m gonna seal it and then permanently attach them. Now I just gotta figure out what to do with the body and clothes.

Installed the eyes, and started the hair. It’s not gonna be a quick or easy step. I’m glueing each hair on individually. It’s a slow process but I couldn’t figure out a quicker or easier way to do it. I Probly got another 2-3 days of it and then it’s onto the body. Has anyone figured out the neasurmeants?l

Hi steve,
So there is a 3D print file out there and it looks pretty good. It’s what I’m using. I have attached a few pics

I found a cheap and easy way to make a body, there is a latex ep 3 yoda figure by Disney(pictures),it has real clothes, the body is latex over cotton and wire that you can bend and pose the figure. The latex on these things falls apart so I got mine dirt cheap. When it arrived the hands feet and ears were falling apart and had a few small tares in the body. I chopped off hands feet and head,I drilled a few holes into hands and feet of baby yoda.i glued the wire into them and then wrapped everything in gafer tape. All in it Probly cost me 15-20 bucks and a little time to get it were I wanted it. It can’t do extreme poses but it can stand on its own, arms go up and down and can be bent at elbows. Now I just gotta find clothes because sewing is not an option.
