One trend i'm loving is that some companies are putting replicas in with their movies when released. Granted, it's usually the single disk edition with nothing else to make it sell, but still. I passed up the special edition Dark Knight because the single disk version had a replica of Two-Face's coin. I missed out on the Hellboy belt buckle when Hellboy 2 came out and i'm still mad about that. I got Dragon wars JUST because it had a replica amulet in it. Altho, that was a mistake on SO many levels. The movie sucked, had no middle..had a begining, and an end...but no MIDDLE! And the Amulet, while looked ok, was plastic and cheap feeling. But today....Today was awesome! I was out with my grandmother, and we went to the local FYE. She's a huge music buff, never leaves without at LEAST $50 worth of CDs. As we're leaving I see it. It's Hancock....with a wearable replica of the eagle beanie he wears. SQWEEE!!!!!!! I'd missed it when it was at Walmart, and now somehow they have it at FYE! (With a black sticker over where it still says "Walmart exclusive" on the box....made me laugh) I get it up to the counter, the girl rings it up...and on top of having one of the best cheapo replicas i've ever seen...it and the movie...together....only $7!!!!! :thumbsup

Yea, The pic I used was just for those who didn't know what i was refering too, but i couldn't find a pic of the one that i got today. But i am planning on making it a bit more "authentic". Gonna put the hole in it, ect.

Ah. I'd always wondered what that was about. At first i thought maybe they were just damaged by accident. Too close to something, got clipped, whatever. But i noticed there were too many with similer cuts and such on em. Thanks Exoray. Also....i LOVE Q*bert!

Yea, when i posted this originally, i had only been home about 10 mins, and hadn't taken a good look at it yet. Turns out it's not made right to flip the edge up, and make it look right. Dont' get me wrong, i still like it, but i'm now a bit disapointed that i can't mod it to look better. But hey, $7 for both it and the dvd.....so i won't complain....well...anymore.

I actually think it's not a bad looking piece. (Especially for the price! :cool) Sometimes it all comes down to how you choose to display something. Here is a picture of, (I believe), the same hat as yours, mounted on a stand with a couple of photos from the movie. Simple, inexpensive and classy looking.

Oh yea, it's a great looking piece, and to the laymend's eye is the right cap. And thank you Adam for those display pics. I might do something like that. And yes, that's the same cap that I got. Sometimes i don't know when to put the perfectionist side of myself away, and just be happy with what's there, ya know?
