AWESOME CASTING NEWS: Mortal Kombat Legacy- Season TWO

But I found this out today: the cast for Season 2 of the awesome webseries is shaping up to be pretty awesome!! First and foremost, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa is returning as Shang Tsung!!!!!!


...oh and Casper Van Dien is the new Johnny Cage apparently. But Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa!!!!!! opcorn

*edit- after posting I came across a more complete cast list:
- Brian Tee as Liu Kang
- Harry Shum, Jr. as Kuai Liang
- Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa will reprise his role as Shang Tsung from the original Mortal Kombat movie.
- Ian Anthony Dale is returning as Scorpion
- Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers) is taking over where Matt Mullins left off with Johnny Cage.
- Mark Dacascos as Kung Lao

That's awesome.. Tagawa was one of the best parts of the original film.

I really need to see the first season.. lol.

Didn't Johnny Cage get killed by Baraka in season 1?

Well sort of- you see they made that cool trailer (the one with Scorpion in custody) that did indeed show Cage get killed, but I suspect that was made just to 'test the waters' and see if such a show would be popular. It definitely was, and then the series was made. As I understand it, other than using the same actors they are completely unrelated

In the actual series, Cage is alive and well

Glad this is coming back, I really enjoyed most of the first season, though I felt there were some areas that could be improved it was a vast improvment over the second MK movie

Has anyone heard if Season 2 will continue being 10-15 minute episodes? I mean I'm excited for it either way, but since season 1 was all about introducing the fighters I feel like we should be working with hourl long episodes now!
