Oh no, please NO! That sounds a lot like it came from the same type of thought process used and abused by the studios on a daily basis by simply cutting & pasting a bunch of scattered bits & pieces from all previously used scripts together at random just to crank out yet another to the list of the worst sequel plots/storylines in film history. What I mean is, the idea you've pitched here doesn't give us anything we haven't already seen at least once before in a previous Alien, Predator or even the first two attempts at AVP. It's the same familair characters and story elements that'd play out on screen as a lazy, redundent, overly recycled turd that never seems to flush all the way and keeps floating back up for no appearant reason and yet every time it comes back, it's got a shiny new colored bow tied around it...but you KNOW it's still just the same ol' turd as before.
Fox Studios seriously needs to step back and take a chance by allowing a REAL Artist* to take charge. Yeah, that's right...a REAL Artist*. NOT some husky fansboys who can jump on command and follow all of your "Look how far I can shove my head up my own ass" instructions. Try using someone with both talent AND experience in a director's seat who's driven and passionate about creating a new movie instead of just reshooting any/all of the classic scenes from the two franchises.* Give audiences a different way to view AVP that's unlike anything we've seen so far. Why not? The one thing you've learned from the first two AVP films is that no matter how bad it looks in the end, you're still guaranteed to profit off it faster than Jessica Alba would if she began offering bj's to anyone for $20.

I want to see a new AVP where the story is told from a new angle thats WAAAAAY the hell outside of the box it's been stuck inside. No more of the ******** recycled catchphrases/lines, scenes, music, etc. and so on from the old Aliens/Predator films! Do something fresh & original, tell it from a brand new angle instead of the same motions only in a different background. These characters have endured the test of time not from their ability to captivate audiences through any spoken word, but rather from the physical performances provided by the actors underneath those big rubber suits. So, this is exactly where/why an experienced AND talented ARTIST* is so desperately needed here in order to properly depict scenes driven solely by the actors physical performances. Besides, it's usually the silent/dialouge-free scenes in films which offer the most powerful impact on an audience. in order to create something truly great on a visual level without any sort of human narration or cutting away every other minute just to hear yet another goddamn idiot human character deliver some poorly scripted line which is often cheesier than 70's porn music. A new AVP film certainly COULD be done incredibly well, however it still remains to be seen if FOX would ever be willing to put the right people in the right places and also provide the funds needed to achieve the best picture possible.


So, it doesn't really matter to me if it's a new AVP or a Predator 3. Either way, I believe there's gotta be at least some small chance in hell that FOX might actually get it right sooner or later. Returning full honor and respect back to the entire Pred Clans throughout all space & time. Yeah, I know...I'm a ******' dreamer...

Well after the events that happened in AVPR. This would be my summary of what will be to come for our next flick. Since the items that were left on earth, predator cannon,bio,spear I would say that the next movie will take place in the future, maybe prior to alien. I would suggest the Colonial Mariens go in search for the aliens/predators. Since the movie was to take place in out space. I did see a post somewhere on a site that searches for info about upcomming movies that the mariens go to a planet where predators are preparing to come to earth "staging area" to eather get there items back or be placed back onto the food chain by putting the humans into there place just like old times, where we humans served and honoured the predator race. So thats my idea of whats to come but who noes...

I just remember aliens where they were discussing riply's ordeal in alien and one of them said ohhh great, another BUg hunt. So from that I would summize that they have had conflicts with predators/aliens and what not before

They did talk about in the AVPR docum that we would see the aliens homeworld this time around, would be kinda cool.

Go completely away from the original, I liked arnold( but he's done with acting, so he won't do it ) but Danny was a pussy in the movie in my opinon . I'm sorry here but I'm speaking what I think.

whoever directs this needs to do is to get away from the same old and make a fresh predator movie, make it somehing we haven't seen before, show some predator things tht we haven't seen before. Go into the origin of how the creatures were able to be so smart and build their technolodgy, go into how they discovered humans and things like that. Perhaps even going into the ancient times like we saw briefly in AVP.

Or perhaps even having mariens going on the predator homeworld to try to get more predator tech as like a contiuation onto AVP, although I think they would be copying aliens

Just something diffrent then the predator kills and skins a bunch of people then one fights back and kills the predator .

well to all of you critics,
i cant say i dont agree with alot if not most of your guys complaints, but ill tell you whats getting old is the fact that you spend so much time being enraged by these AVP movies. if you can make a better one, please DO IT!! and im half kidding but half serious, get some ideas, resources (there are ways to be funded), and make that next mother ****** bad ASS!!! seriously theres got to be somethin we can do, i bet if all the true fans put our heads together and waged war on all this ******** we could make it rock. i know now thats a dream right there... but as for all of you (and i hate to be rude) who just cant get through there day without complaining about this ****, i dont know what to tell you, if they didnt keep makin these movies, what would you have to complain about? i mean i guess you could just keep goin and goin and hell even tell your grand kids "how terrible AVP was" but i think its a waste. the fact of it all is that no one knows what their world and habbits are really like except for the tiny little hints in the movies. so let it go yes i know i thought anderson had so many flaws and inconsistencies (on top of makin the mother ****** PG13!) to make me wanna cry, but im over it , well not OVER it but i dont spend all my time writing pages on this stuff, do somethin about it! but for you guys that would just assume never see another new AVP or predator movie, **** it, dont! i personally could watch the first two predators another couple hundred more times before my life is over, and AVPR... i honestly liked it alot, sure the acting sucked (which i think is the main thing lacking from the first two avps, on top of the endless predator flaws in AVP) but they got back to the roots (kinda) and everyone else just calls it a "rip off" it wasnt supposed to be another predator movie, they tried to redeem what anderson ****** up, and i think they did a pretty good job (dispite casting for the humans) so whatever, dont go see the new one (cause we know its comin) and let it end there. dont collect anymore, be hardcore and only buy the **** that pertains to the first two,and to hell with the rest. but for the love of god quit complaining! Just a thought. it would be cool to see weyland yutani to get a hold of a predator corpse. They find out its inpregnated, and boom its a queen. ( there could be a scene with scienctists examing it. There'd be room for new predator anatomy) It slithers away and the whole confinement gets screwed. then preds come to get they lost bro and just have an intense all out war with the aliens.

Im part serious and part joking. it would be pretty sweet to see all three races contained in a single "space station". there would be room for a lot of xenos sneaking around in the vents, humans crying in corners, and preds just killing both.

Anyone ever wonder if there's a big Predator "King", similar to the Alien Queen? Honestly, we know more about the Aliens and they're not even a sophisticated species by any stretch of the imagination. We know where they come from, how they breed, everything about the gestation cycle (without delving into the physical biology of it, of course), etc. But Predators just "pop" up, mostly fully grown with all of their technology and armor. I'd LOVE to see the Rite of Passage from inception to completion, but again, it's hard when they don't speak on-screen except a few learned, repeated words. I think they could do so much with it if the humans were somehow able to find the Predator planet world instead of a random planet or spacecraft. Predator 3 would be awesome in space instead of on Earth, as it's been done before and there's nothing new. Even introducing an entirely new Predator design wouldn't do anything for the storyline if it took place on Earth.

So I agree with doing P3 first, then Alien 5, then spinning AVP3 off of both conclusions.

I've always believed, and still do, that the easiest formula for an AVP movie is re-make the "ALIENS" movie and just toss a clan of BADASS Lost Hunters into the mix; aside from the obvious DARKHORSE "Aliens vs Preadtor" novel.

But unfortunately they'll keep tossing these half-ass low budget B movies our ways which are demorolizing these iconic Sci-Fi creatures. Why can they just leave it the heck alone. The only good thing that came out of the AVP movies is "Wolf" and by that I mean the creature design and props only.

FOX, PLEASE, JUST LEAVE THE FRANCHISE ALONE FOR GOODNESS SAKE!

I've been trying for a while to get the funds to make a predator 3 but regretably 500 dollars doesn't go very far in movie talk

Just wanna throw in my "tid-bit" of info that I saw on television from the show "Entertainment Tonight" a week ago. A female spokewoman for the show talked about '09 AVP3...and that Dwayne Johnson: aka "THE ROCK" was intreviewed by FOX and its AVP directors. Whether he's gonna do it or not....is just a matter of soon finding out.
He did a fair job in "DOOM".

LMAO, I hate to remind you of this but the movies you speak of being ICONIC are B rated movies already. Half the wold aldready think they were either stupid or cheesy. The hand full of people on this board are the only people I have ever found that were scared by Predator. I was watching Predator at age 7 thinking it was cool not scary. Alien was scary a little bit but not much. Aliens a little different but for the most part the Predator movie was a very low rated movie and is considered a cult lassic not a big block buster like so many of you guys make it out to be. Dont get me wrong, It is probably my favorite movie of all time but it is still not top dog on what a movie is.


If they are trying to sign the rock I would hope they would get him as a marine or the main guy so as to have a real hero in this one not a lady unless tehy can get someone who can actually fill Weavers shoes.

What you fail to realize is that Fox execs as well as ADI folks and other influentials lurk this board. Therefore, it is useful for those of us fans who want a better product to vent about what we like/dislike about these AVP films. As a matter of fact, some of our crits about the first film DID influence the look of the Wolf in the last installment. Too bad more of our ideas weren't implemented.

We all know the bottom line is budget, but a low one does not preclude good writing. Hollywood is inundated with no-talent writers who couldn't find an original idea up their ass with two hands and a flashlight. That's why I was rooting for the studios during the recent strike. F these whiny writers. I am sick of the all the work and talent on ADI's end being wasted on lousy scripts and lousy directors. If Fox is going to do another one, they need to commit the resources to do it right, or don't do it all.
