AVP Armor Templates By VinMan

dude this is so freakin helpful, you have no idea how much you just helped this poor noob out

hey, if you don't mind how did you get the curve to the sholder pads?

He used plastics (sintra, PVC) and heated them in an oven util they are maleable, then shaped them to what he wanted.

These templates are exceptionally helpful, this guy is a legend! Thanks for all the help Vinman!

nice work man
definitely gone use it, only like many others I can't scale it correctly.
If I print it out it's more 1:0,825.
Those measurements next to the pics are in inch I guess.
I can't even scale them correctly.

Could someone that has the correct scaled templates send them to me in PDF?
Maybe my problems will be gone. I realy wanne make this o_O

I made my armor using your templates a while back and they were awesome. The only problem i had was i used foamies and covered them in latex then painted them using hammered metallic silver spray paint. After a while when i would make it so the foamies would bend by taping the shoulder pieces around a ball all the paint on top and latex would start to crack plus the foamies dont't have a wide range of movement. Could you recommend some material to me and how i should fix the paint problem. I already have seen the incredible suit template and i am about to start that. by the way i am 15 and also could you recommend me some way or someone that can i can make a cheap easy and cool bio helmet. I've been working on this project for around 9 months but it keeps taking longer because of set backs. thanxs

Read through the thead. there are detailed explanations of PVC foam board. Also known as sintra.

For getting rid of the "sponginess" of the foam and painting it, would these steps work?

I'm primarily worried about mod podge not keeping the foam's shape consistent, and the Krylon coat cracking.

Plus I'm a bit short on currency and I want to use the paint I already own.

1- Several coats of mod podge
2- Hammered metallic spray paint
3- One thin coat of watered down black acrylic paint to fill in gaps
4- Krylon crystal clear spray
