I just got my Hawkeye costume from my friend's wife who finished it a couple days ago. I have to say I'm pretty pleased with it. I will be doing some slight modifications to it but wanted to post it for everyone. I still need to get my bow, boots, and other accessories. Unfortunately I won't be getting the hair ha ha. Please let me know what yall think.

    Jeremy

Thank you. I'm going to replace the shield badge with an actual resin one and probably paint the black buckles to look aluminum. I've already got a belt lined up from a friend that has a buckle that looks identical to the one in the movie.

Cool, will you be adding lights and motorized parts to your arrows like in the movie?

It's been a thought. I doubt I'll be purchasing the Hoyt Buffalo because those are running around $600 but I do plan on doing something similar to the bow he uses and maybe some arrows.

I think you and your friends wife could make some bucks if you offered to do these for members. Just a thought.

I'll talk to my buddy at work on Monday and see if his wife would be up for making more. I know she said it was quiet a challenge. I'm headed to Bass Pro Shop tomorrow, maybe they'll have a bow I like and can add to the costume.

Thank you, I enjoyed my time I was in.

Hopefully today I'll be getting a bow so I might be posting pics later. Still trying to find some suitable boots too.

Went to get the bow I planned on using today and it was out of stock. I'm looking at the Jaguar Takedown. It's not near as expensive as the Hoyt Buffalo but I figure with the right paint job and accessories I can make it sexy.

Please do! If she's up for it and depending on price I would definitely be interested.

I've always liked Hawkeye (and Green Arrow) and was toying around with the idea of doing a Hawkeye costume. I took my 16 year old niece to see the movie and, knowing my passion for costuming, she turned to me as soon as she saw Hawkeye and said I HAD to do that costume.

That, and the 10 or so people in the theater that told me I look like Jeremy Renner (it's got to be the hair, I think...) has made up my mind.

But I doubt it would come out as nice as that!

Hey gents I talked to her and she said she can't make anymore costumes at the moment. She started classes again and said she's going to focus her efforts on that for now. I'll keep yall posted if she changes her mind.

Looks really great. I love the detail with the buckles that attach to the pants. It looks awesome. The extra zippers. It even looks like she made the side piping herself by cutting and sewing instead of finding something that looks similar. Just the attention to detail is great.

I get you about the hair though. If everything was hair based, I'd either only ever be able to be Hulk Hogan or the guy from "Just the 10 of Us".

Can I just say, I'm new here. But aside from some other avatars from the random Hockey & Goaltending sites I participate in....

Yours is one of the best Avatars I've ever seen. I don't know if that is you, or someone you know (girlfriend, sister, friend, etc), but I just wanted to say that. And thank you for sharing. :love

(and please understand, I don't mean any offense by that at all)

That looks pretty good but one of the members here is planning on buying a Hoyt and he said if there is interest he'll cast the Hoyt riser in resin. But that wont be till June.

I read that somewhere on here but I figured I could get the Jaguar so I could shoot it too. I like shooting guns so I figured shooting a bow would be pretty fun. That Hoyt Buffalo is one sexy beast though. Maybe next year I can upgrade to that.

It's something she does if she has time, I guess more like a hobby. It took her a few months to get it completed but I'm very happy with it.

Looks awesome! I'd really love to see the belt buckle you have because there's been lots of discussion in another Hawkeye thread about where to find that exact buckle and nobody's found it yet.

My friend had this buckle laying around and he gave it to me. Come to find out it came with an outfit that his girlfriend purchased a long time ago and she never wore the belt.

Sorry for the lack of updates on this post. I finished all my classes so I have a break for a few weeks so I plan on updating it more.

That buckle is quite the find! And that suit is fantastic I only hope that my atempt at at sewing this vest comes out like that... Could you source any fabrics/ materials used? I'm having trouble with the base black material and purple/maroon.

Fantastic outfit. Could you post any info about what fabrics were used, particularly for the shoulders and sides? Your friend did a great job. I'd say you've got the best looking suit I've seen off screen!
