Auctionsherpa-Recaster?

This thread was only 'bumped up' because a new thread was opened relating to a seller on etsy, who is the same as auctionsherpa, and the 2 threads were merged. (see post #87 'title' :thumbsup)
Oh... Sorry, didn't go through the whole thread... Just stumbled upon the Etsy site and saw an incredible good looking Loki Mask...
So if the guy is not a recaster and thrustworthy, it's safe to order one of these Loki masks there?

While not a recaster, he is def a "flip-this-prop" (with healthy markup) type. My experience says go to the source of where he got it and cut out the middle man and save some loot.
But if you like the item and the price is right for you (or you dont care to go through he trouble of finding the original source), then why the heck not? Do what makes you happy.
Price is rather high in my opinion. I always prefer to buy directly from the source if possible. Not only to get a fair price, but also to support the original creators of great props. Meanwhile I started a thread the identify the source of this mask. It might be a cast of the Icons mask, according to some people. I guess an original Icons mask is almost impossible to find now? Anyway, we're getting off topic. If someone wants to help me finding a Loki Mask, please reply in the thread I started about it...

Follow the previous advice and go through the original creator an cut this guy out.
You'll save hundreds of dollars.

Auctionsherpa / auroraproject2011 is actually recently banned user Planet.
He kept bugging me for a sling, and when I called him out on his false
claims on ebay, he sent me a very colorful message.
He is buying 4.35 canteen slings, then labeling them as accurate for 30.
His grenade is labeled as cast off an original is false also.
I think it is pretty funny to see earlier posts from him standing up for himself..

OK, here is my experience with auctionsherpa.
I bought the smartgun from him on ebay back when it was up for $999. The pictures of the smart gun are to die for, so I was super excited and decided that instead of buying a legit pulse rifle which was still available from Hollywood Collectibles in the green color, I'd throw down for this rare bird.
I have no experience with prop weapons or reproductions, so I don't know how they are supposed to feel. When i put my hands on this thing, expecting it was made with metal motorcycle parts, and everything else, and then it turns out to be plastic everywhere, it flexes, etc. Looks great on the wall, but now the same item is being sold for 2.5x so go figure. I guess what I got was a recast of Matsuo's work. Oh well.

Hey guys, this is my first post. I wanted to add I have had a run in with this seller auroraproject2011 in the past couple of weeks on ebay. In a twist of fate Matt Noble emailed me in regards to a request for a pulse rifle strap I asked him about on another prop forum and warned me when I said I had just bought one from a seller on ebay. This lead me to a google search to check and found this post.
I have had auroraproject2011 reported to ebay for misleading auction descriptions and selling fake items indeed it was a 4.35 canteen strap not custom pulse rifle sling I received, including his disgusting and abusive conduct via private message. Also ripping off shipping almost profiteering 4 times the amount he paid to post his fake goods.

I'm so glad I checked this out.I nearly dropped $1000/$1200 (his prices fluctuate by $200 or so every day) on a PR with this fellow.
I live in Norway so can expect to pay at least 1/3 of that again on import tax.I have a horrible feeling I would have been out of pocket ,having read more on auroraproject/auctionsherpa.If it's true that he is reselling Matsucorp stuff... then where do you get Matsucorp stuff?I'd love to get it from the source; the artist,not some hack.

I love how he is selling the BTTF Hill Valley real estate poster that an artist created and sold in galleries. Someone posted the link to the image here and he ran with it. He claims it is a "custom created piece"..." I have had many friends comment on how cool this is!! you won't be disappointed! You will only find these here" LMAO
