I've been on a '12 Monkeys' kick lately, & I've been looking at some of the props in the film hoping to duplicate them OR "find" them. I've been largely unsuccessful, so I thought I might enlist the expert assistance of the RPF collective in my search. (heck, it wouldn't surprise me if one/some of the members here had actually been involved in the production of the film in some capacity).

Anyway, I couldn't find many props (that would be feasible for me, that is), but the main one I was looking at was the case that Dr. Peters was carrying at the end of the film. And more SPECIFICALLY,
the virus vials inside the case. I was hoping that the vials might be a found item, but it wouldn't surprise me if they were the products of someones imagination. So without further ado:

The case/vials:

The "inner" piece looks to be a centrifuge tube (conical at the lower-end) if I'm not mistaken:

I have a thread with some different info cross-posted at propcircle. Thanks in advance for any input.

Bumped from the bowels of the board.

Anyone have any ideas on my question in the original post?

Anyone?

Bueller?

Frye?

Some sort of gas valve with a dial on top and wheel on one end attached by a simple hinge (that u can see in one pic). Possible sat on top of a glass/plastic tumbler with a chemy lab test tube inside.
The test tube is almost certainly a found item as it has a ground finish at the top for a stopper to go in. In fact i'd guess its mostly found parts.

Thought I'd bump this from the bowels of the forum, to see if it gets any more bites. For some reason I seem to remember a member here stating they actually worked on the props in this film.

Anyway...

Not much to add, except back in the day when this movie was filming in Baltimore MD, I sent the producers some mugs, and had given them a bumper sticker that was supposed to be strategically placed on a phone booth, advertising a to remain annonymous car rental company. Alas, the budget was cut, along with the scene and company I was with took their money back. Sadly not long after so was my job in PR & Marketing....which led to my current life in retail hell:lol

They kinda look like moisture filters used on air compressor systems, to keep water out of air tools, and paint guns. Tim
