The clear plastic part seems to be thick plastic/glass. My guess is that it was the plastic/glass visor for a motorcycle or scooter helmet and then she dremeled it to that shape.

most likely it's Lucite.

I saw this build online somewhere, the ear pieces are the ends of computer mice. I think they used a visor like koobecafees said. I would suggest vacuforming Lexan or other polycarbonate.
