Attaching lenses to a mask?

So have been running into many road blocks on this spidey mask I'm trying to make. Most recent is attaching lenses to the mask. I have tried hot glue and liquid stitch so far and both times I have had to re sew the mask. I am just looking for suggestions on what to use for this part b/c I'm getting tired of re-sewing this mask.

Do the lenses have a frame? try 2 pieces of material with the lens in the middle glue the lenses to the material. Then sew the material frames to the mask?

Attached a quick paint, if you folded the edge of the eye over it would be reinforced and allow you to stitch to it better?

I have two sets of frames one resin the other urethane I can't sew either to the mask...using steel mesh for the lenses with both frames.

The frames have a valley in the the outer edge? try sewing a rigid frame into the mask that slots into your frames?
