Attaching EL sheet to fabric material?

I am trying to assist a friend with a project, and I need to attach custom electroluminescent sheet panel to a spandex/lycra full face covering hood. I figure I would put the hood on a mannequin head to work with it. Has anyone worked with this el sheet before and attached it to fabric? Should it be glued, sewn, velcro'ed or what? I will be using cuttable el sheet panel and need it to stay put on the hood. I did search before posting, and apologize if this is in the wrong section, but any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Been brainstorming about this, and I think what I might try is to get some adheasive backed velcro to attach to the back of the el sheet. Then the other half of the velcro I will sew onto the hood. This should allow me to move the piece around for repositioning purposes and maintence.
