Attaching a Hengstler to a Sterling

I have a real Sterling and will soon have a real Hengstler. I have no idea about how it is supposed to attach the gun. Any input that the blaster gurus might have will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Somebody designed and published a drawing of a bracket for that very purpose here. I can't find it in my files but I know it's out there.

the nice way i've seen is to put an L bracket under the scope rail, and have the hengstler attached to that.

the sloppy way i did mine was to just Goop it on.

Here you go:

Great picture thanks for sharing. Where you have the bracket attatched to the counter is that just clipped into that hole where the big fuse type thingy is?

I don't still have any Hengstler counter, but if I can recall correctly, you can secure a 12×4 mm rod between the plastic connector and the metal sleeve without the need to glue or tap the counter. The one that I owned came with such a rod attached.
How to connect the rod to the Sterling is another chapter, however ...

This is what I did:

I took a section of 1.5" tube (same diameter as the Sterling), cut it in half, left 1/4 of it curved to ft the body of the Steriling and flattened the rest and bent it back up. JB Weld the bracket to the gun and the Hengstler to the bracket.
