AT AT Walker Overhaul

I have two large AT AT walkers that my two boys have long since forgotten about. I would like to turn these two classic Star Wars vehicles into a late summer overhaul project. Has anyone on the forum tackled this type of project before? I thought about focusing my efforts on one of the walkers and using the second as a source of parts perhaps.

I would like to improve on the original with additional detail, lighting, functionality etc. Any suggestions or guidance would be appreciated.

Lots of work ahead of you if you want to transform those (or at least one for a final version). If memory serves me well, the head has to be reduced quite a bit, as far as the proportion of the legs are concerned, I'm sure others will chime in. Good luck;)

Thank you Joberg! I can use any and all suggestions. Can you or other forum members recommend a really good source of reference material that would be useful in helping me plan the project builld? Thanks again

On the Studio Model section of the RPF you'll have specialists on the AT-AT model (studio accurate of course). There's a thread, right now, on the SS AT-AT and the specialists are (sorry to others not mentioned here): Monsieur Tox, Duncanator, dsp5500, Moffeaton, anamorphicWayne, etc...

Thanks again. I found the thread by dsp5500 who appears to be taking his AT AT build to a much higher level. I am definitely outclassed but hope to learn a lot in the process.
Thanks again for the help.
