I am personally quite excited about it. I haven't played all of previous installments (I played I, III, Liberation, Black Flag and Unity) but from what I played I absolutely loved. The idea for this new AC game is quite interesting. I wonder how they'll handle the Templars (as they didn't exist back then).

The costumes and props are as always on the high level. I already see a lot of people doing cosplays of this costume in my head!

I'm kind of indifferent, I just don't know if I care any ore. I love the franchise as a whole, and the potential for greatness is there, but Ubi seems to do something each time that really hampers my enjoyment

My enjoyment really slowed around Revelations and came to a complete stop with Assassin's Creed 3. At that point, the devs didn't care and it showed; the game was utter trash. I left it alone for the longest time until Black Flag was free on XBL and picked it up there and I was really surprised by how good it was. Still hasn't won me back to the series at all but to the game series' credit, one thing I've always admired about it was that it took players to the great cities of classical antiquity and I love that hook. The story of these games off the bat is stupid as all hell but being a great admirer of the history of ancient civilizations, I think it a good thing that there's a big, popular game series that exposes to a great many people things they probably slept through in World History.

I love the history and the "history", shown in the games, especially walking/running around the cities. I am also the battered spouse thst keeps coming back to them lol. I played 1-3, skipped Black Flag, but played Unity and am playing Syndicate off and on now.

I will probably play this new one too, but like A LOT of Ubisoft stuff, I don't buy it right away and usually get it used.

That being said, I do hope it's good.
