Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Ezio Auditore - Version 2 (PIC HEAVY - COMPLETE)

Yeah on twitter. I just posted one of the pics, linked to this thread and went "OH MY GOD THESE ARE AMAZING"... some even wanted to order. Haha.
I really love good leatherwork. I want to learn it badly.

Aww < 3 Learning how to work leather is awesome, you totally should :D

Thank you so much for sharing your work!
I just joined this site and was engrossed in your posts, forgetting all time. There is nothing I can add that hasn't been said before, your skill and attention to detail are absolutely amazing and incredibly inspiring (and a little intimidating for a newbie :))! Truly incredible. Thanks for all the photos!

Hey guys! Some updates, finally.

I finally completed the first official photoshoot for my costume (with SpirosK Photography). More pics to come soon!

Hey there

******* man, You are a legend. This is the epitome of Assassin's creed suits. This suit ca not be done any better. Period. You nailed it. There is a guy from Holland that has been doing Assassins suits for years. His suits look nice but mediocre at best compared to your work. You are the benchmark from here on out. And this is your 2nd suit.. I am truly in awe.
You should really consider doing a suit from the second game.. There is one that is similar to this one with spiraled seams on the arms. I forgot the name but you could pull it off..

Forgot to ask, How long have u been making your own suits? What is your background in terms of leatherwork??

Wow, thank you very much! Yeah, I think I know the guy... Mueldex, right? He has like a suit from every game. xD Well as luck would have it I've been commissioned to make a suit from the second game, and I'm working on that right now. Once I have enough progress I'll do a write-up of the project on the forums here. :)

Well honestly, this is literally the second costume I've every made. I've always been a creative person, and I've had experience with woodworking and such before, and over the past few years I've made a few costumes with my grandmother. By which I mean I would say "let's make that!" and she would pretty much make it, with me helping. But last September I decided to get serious and make my own costume, and since my grandmother refused to teach me how to sew because "what business do men have sewing?" (she's a bit old-fashioned) I pretty much taught myself how to sew and went from there. I made the first Ezio costume (I've linked to it on the first post of this topic). As far as leather working is concerned, again, I began working with leather about.... I want to say 11 months ago? I began just before April of last year, again with the armor pieces for my first Ezio costume. I bought some leather, watched some youtube videos, and started experimenting. I was lucky because there was a craftsman in my town who allowed me to hang out in his workshop and use some of his tools as I first began dabbling in leatherwork. Slowly though I've managed to gather my own tools and now I have a workshop at home where I do most of my stuff. The small shoulder plate I made for this Ezio was my first attempt at leather carving, and a leather purse I made for a friend of mine was pretty much my first attempt at hand-sewing. So I'm still a noob when it comes to leather, but I really like the material and I'm looking forward to continuing learning it and making more projects. I've already got some pretty cool things in the works. :)

So yeah, basically this whole thing started a year ago. I didn't really even know cosplay existed in my country until last April. :p

Hahahaha thank you ever so much, Judge Spartan! Well there's no hidden blade, I didn't have time to make it, so he's not as real as you might think. ;)

Nope, not that guy, another guy. Forgot the name. The thing is you have been doing this for nearly a year, he has been doing it for several years and none of his suits come even close to matching yours. Just amazing.

Woaaa. U r doing an Assasin's Creed 2 suit. The regular or one of the unlockable ones?

The one suit that I was referring to was actually from Brotherhood and not from the 2nd game.. My bad.. It is called Helmschmied Drachen armor. It looks insane.

If I may ask, how much did u spend in making your suit? Thanks.

Ahh, yes, the Helmschmied Drachen armor. Red and black, right, with some interesting armor designs? Yeah, it's definitely a cool suit. I might make it one day. But for now I'm making Ezio's default suit in the second game, except with a black and red color scheme instead of a white and red color scheme.

On my suit? Purely in material costs definitely over 5 or 6 hundred. However, if I were to sell the entire suit, I wouldn't sell it for less than 6 or 7 thousand. It took me two entire months to make. Almost the entire summer. And that was pretty much with a schedule of wake up, have breakfast, work on the suit, have lunch, work on the suit, have dinner, work a little bit more, and then bed. I was pulling 8 and 9 hour shifts working on that thing. But it was nevertheless enjoyable and I'm really pleased with the result. :)

Amazing photos of an incredible costume! The mood suits the games very well. Thanks for sharing! Wish I could see your Ezio in person, but Greece is pretty far away... :)

Thanks for all the info. yeah.. that one. Drachen Armor. One day hopefully. Looking forward to your Ezio. What reference pics are u using?? In-Game or the Hot toys figure?

Does your cost include the tools you had to buy as well? 600 seems rather low. I was estimating 1k plus.
2 months of non-stop work, super accurate and fast. Human machine right there. lol
I admire your passion but I could never work on a suit 9h a day. The max I do is around 3 - 3.5 hours a day, 5 days a week, sometimes even less then that. I get frustrated rather quickly if things don't work out the way they are supposed to then I immeditaely leave my workshop.. lol
You accomplished a lot in just under a year. Keep up the good work.

Thank you very much! Yeah, Greece is kind of remote :p

I have a NECA action figure that helped me until I was able to download a 3D model of the character in XPSLara which allowed me to get all kinds of screenshots. Well it includes some of the tools. But I was able to get some great prices on materials, especially the leather, which helped reduce the cost. Yeah, I would get frustrated at times too. But you just have keep going! :p

Thank you, I most certainly will. :)

I think you two are talking about Rick Boer. To be fair, I think Rick's suits are about the same level as this one. Except Rick tends to go for the heavier look and lots of weathering. His Altaïr and Ezio aren't his best. His connor, edward and everything after, are REALLY different from those. He's actually hired by Ubisoft to do promotional work. The Dutch commercials actually used him in random Dutch locations. It was quite funny.
