Im wondering if anyone knows the artists name that did the winged men that resemble that atop ark? Ive seen this image before of too men facing each other, kneeling, and their wing's pointed forward w/ the tips touching. I know their is a piece atop the ark that is somewhat similar and was wondering how close the 2 are from each other???

Yes, they are cherubs or "cherubim."

Many artists have depicted this image of the two cherubim extending their wings toward each other across the top of the Ark of the Covenant.

An example: The Sacrifice of the Old Covenant, painted in 1626 by Rubens.

Try a Google search with keywords like "Ark of the Covenant" and "cherubim." You'll find a lot of images.
