Hey Mike! Yes the handle parts kit is from Tony. The piece on the top of the handle butt is part of the internal electronics and battery holder.
The kit makes it a little easier to put together a functioning handle.

Tim
could I see a pic of the top of the handle???
Also are you going to attach it with the plug connector or???
Thanks
Mike

I'm not going to attach it with a plug, instead I'm going to use a method that Tony shared with me that works nicely.
If you have the complete kit that comes with the top part, nuts, threaded stem and inside stuff then it's not too bad to put together.

You can buy them at the hobby store or online. The size of the strips are 3/64" styrene rods. I used super glue to put mine on but other glues may work.

So you are doing a full hero conversion with the plugs and everything? That's nice!:)

my phaser has all clear interior plastic parts are they just as good as the grey parts?

I'm not sure. Which parts are clear? That must be a newer version phaser that has the clearer plastic parts. I use the older version phaser that has the solid grey parts. I have not had any problems so far. If the clear parts are solid I don't see why you would have a problem with them, but then again I never used them before.:unsure

yup full hero, with green laser and red led , then im going to get a nice hard camra case for it ive seen one in my girlfriends camra book cant wait till im done.

Troydragons that's cool!:cool I liked to see it when it's done. Got any pics of the case your going to use?

Spacerone do you do these as commissions, or just for your own collection?

Unfated sorry just for my own collection. I can barely keep up on the work for this one, never enough time in the day.:angry

Speaking of which it is coming along nicely except for some paint problems with the handle.:cry
Two pieces came out alright but I have to sand the bottom piece down again. The paint bubbled when I tried to clear coat it.:facepalm
