Art Asylum / Diamond Select TOS Phaser build with metal parts.

Sounds like the beginings of a new contest to me. " Redesign the JJ Trek Phaser" {please}:rolleyes Nice looking design, better than what they used in the movie. Would like to see what you come up with when you spend some time on it.:love Didn't mean to go off topic, Spacerone, good luck with your build, can't wait to see the finished Phaser. The work you have done already looks Fantastic.:love:love

Thanks space rat! As soon as I get the rest of the P1 metal parts I will have some photos to show. :)

As it stands right now for metal parts, are Scifiprops and USSCassiopeia the best sources? Are multiple people machining these? If so, are there any notable differences?

Have some patience Chris, perfection takes a while to create. :lol
I see the need for bronzing the handle on my 'gray handle' phaser...

:eek

That cap was lightened to show details. The handle color is a dark bronze, but it's metallic and can look lighter depending how the light hits it.

The Rustoleum Bright Coat line 7713 Dark Bronze looks very close.

The Ace Rust Stop enamel Satin Dark Bronze also looks good on the brochure, but I haven't seen the actual paint yet.

I got Krylon satin Sesame Shimmer to use on my test phaser, like Scotty said, I'll let ya know.:lol

I don't think USSCassiopeia makes them anymore, but scifiprops has them still available and they are very good quality parts. Here is a direct link to their parts site federationphaser .

Thanks!

I just put on the new clear emitter on the p2. Here is the finished results of the p2 with the p1 attached to it. Its got a nice feel to it now with all the metal parts on it.
