So I am going to this comic con with a few friends and I really wanted to get an arrow costume, problem is I need it in the next 2 weeks and I prefer not to spend my whole paycheck on something that I'll get late, so basically I need ideas on how to make a good arrow costume for under 100 bucks, please help

The only way you're going to be able to do it in that time frame on that budget is to accept a lot of inaccuracies. There's nothing wrong with that, just be aware. I would start by looking for a green hoodie. It's a starting point. With a little effort you can modify it into a rough version of Green Arrow.

It's pretty much a green leather jacket with some suede or canvas stuff on top. Find yourself a green jacket, buy some microsuede (faux suede) or canvas fabric and glue it or sew it on in the right shapes. (Depends if you are any good at either gluing or sewing) Bam, done.

Decent advice, but the hood is made from 100% cotton twill. Thicker than a regular off-the-bolt fabric without being as stiff as canvas. The olive trim, however, can be a canvas, because it actually gives decent reinforcement.

Sorry I only saw this now, Haime; I'm the one who makes (as far as I know) the closest to SA hoods outside the show, but mostly I sell them on the Emerald Archers Facebook page. It might be too late now, but maybe I'll make a post on the junkyard to help in the future :)

OP was looking for a quick fix for under $100 for a Comicon that was happening soon after they posted. I doubt perfect accuracy was a goal.

Oh, I totally understood that :) I was willing to offer the quick-and-dirty tricks to the costume, especially the hood. One of the first places I found the right material was a $2 Goodwill curtain. That's almost always a guaranteed place to find fabric/deconstructible clothes in larger quantities and for less money than any fabric or bargain bin.

Kudos, though; I agree that the 3 spheres of costuming (accuracy, build time, and cost) are near-impossible to achieve beyond 2 at a time.
