I designed some accurate hot and cold Obiwan Kenobi parts, available in my shapeways shop.

good, I think this is the best way, using shapeways, the prices gets as low as possible this way.
When I order from France it's about 10$ more expensive than directly from USA.

Here are pics of the first and last versions, last is not yet finished, meaning, not yet available, because of so low connection, even loading a picture is a horror story...will be solved on monday or tuesday, the network guy came yesterday and they will fix the problem.
I changed the central letter thickness so it will be ok to print, also made a more complicated sphere file to get finer resolution than the finest available resolution the software wanted to get, it removed all the triangular shapes on surface.




I also designed a "H" letter to get both cap versions.

File has been corrected, I upgraded the sphere detail too, and made a H cap.



Here is the shapeways render of the hot cap, the texture looks horrible on it, but the relief patter is far lower than previous design, and far heavier file too...



The cold is not yet available due to my very poor upload quality, will be solved soon.
Other parts will follow.

Edit, removing complete saber run and price informations.
If someone is interested, it can be possible to plan a emitter run for 100$ each, but it will require 50 people on it.

I think these caps are a great idea. But has anyone thought about making the colored cap rings?


I know I'd be all over a "h" cap if I could get the red ring to go with it. I'd probably get another blue ring too (just in case, God forbid, anything happens to this one).
