Arkham Asylum/City Grapple Gun VIDEO Build - Progress pic added

Add here I thought I was going to be the only one who thought that :lol Nice work Kevin!

Excellent video Matt ... very insightful ... you make it look effortless.

I kept waiting for the camera to pan around and reveal this...

Nice tips on layered painting to achieve weathered effects. By the way was that Laamberry's toothbrush you used again :lol.

you make it look effortless.

That is VERY kind of you to say sir! I appreciate the feedback!

Of course, there was tons of behind the scenes shenanigans that did not make it to the final cut. MUCH of my voice over contained me saying "Well, I've never done this before so I'm not sure how this is going to turn out" for a couple of the steps. Like that spray on texture I used at the beginning. I did not know if that would work or not.

I think overall, the secret is really to use a variety of techniques, and not use any one of them too heavily.

Matt, I finally got to watch the last video and that was "BEEP" awesome ( oopps sorry ) LOL! You did a great job on the symbol and that is quite a bit the same way I've done other art projects in the past. You definitely put it to video very well and keep me inspired to do more. Thanks.

Looks great! You really captured the feel of the original logo while calming it down a little to make for a more subtle for shelf display.

I have filmed another episode, but haven't edited it together yet. I've been swamped with challenge coin and calendar stuff lately.

But more soon, for sure!!!

Oh Matt I wanted a reason to bump it to the front. I had a hard time finding it. I know I could have look under my post. But it was down 10 pages.

That worked out really well, Matt. Great stuff. Don't know why, but I couldn't comment on the Youtube page - got an error.

Buckle up folks! with Laamberry out of town for a few weeks, I'm going to really hunker down and bang out the last few episodes of this series and finish the grapple guns up. I've already got two episodes filmed. One of them should be released later tonight.

The goal is to have all three finished before new years eve.
