Hadn't seen a post about this before. Apparently Kubrick gave it to a friend after filming where it stayed in secret until now. It's in L.A. now and up for auction at icollector.com. OK - here's the deal. Between the three cameras we had there, we shot probably 300 photos. I'm not sure how much of it will be duplicate material, blurry, etc. Some of it was shot for a 3D resolve by VFXSupe64 similar to what he did with the Millennium Falcon miniature here on the RPF. We...

I can't find but a very limited few. Do you have a link to a site(s) which has "plenty of photos of the restored model"? I think we would all greatly appreciate having detailed photos on hand when building the model.

we all went to see the Aries ... [at] the Academy museum to see the restoration; it's quite beautiful.

Or, if you took photos when you went, I think everyone here would love it if you were kind enough to share them with us!

I just got my “Please pay for your preorder” email from CultTVMan. Shipping to the U.K. is going to take a while though. No problem. I’ve been waiting since 1970 for this one!

As it turned out, it arrived within ten days and I got a huge surprise when I got no bill for import duty or vat.

I didn't hear anything of the sort. A big challenge will be to light the T.V. screens
