I don't think it is the 2199 version, is it? IIRC the kit came out before the series, and it should be over two feet long since the new ship is that much bigger.

I believe that is the model kit based on the original series, after it increased in popularity due to the live-action movie from 2010.

That page has some of the old models from the eighties as well as the new ones. Is Bandai re-releasing some of the old kits as well?

I'm guessing they're bundling reissues of the smaller old kits with the new ones as a sort of bonus. That is just a guess, however.

A 1/anything-bigger-than-1000 of the new version (with hangar!) would be amazing. I love the hangar scenes in this show. Brilliant.
