Are you really excited about MR's Trek prop's for 2008?

Movie assault phaser and later TNG/DS9/Voyager tricorder. If I had to guess, the tricorder would be the most wanted simply for the bells/whistles.....visually more eye candy than the TOS version.
Are these really "must have", I'm going to drop big $ for these?
I can't see 1200 or more of each ed. selling out very fast.
I would have been more excited over a TOS phaser rifle, Medikit, Scotty's engineering scanner.

I'm looking forward to the assault phaser, as it's my favorite phaser design.

But yeah, I'm mostly interested in seeing what ships might be coming up as part of the studio scale line.

The Mark X isn't my favorite (too blinky!) plus I already have two fine versions of it (Science and Medical), so I doubt I'll get that one.

The Assault Phaser could be lots of fun tho, especially if the sounds, lights and removable clip are done right.

I have high hopes for the Movie, but who knows... could be great or could suck. But if it IS great, I guess I'll have to open my wallet for new Enterprises and phasers and what not. :lol

No, but only because I have purged myself of all TNG era props in an effort to specialize my collection (I was amassing too much stuff over too wide a range). I do love all the trics of that era but I won't be buying this.

Normally I'd be interested in TOS movie era props but I've never liked the assault phaser. I don't think the concept or the design belongs in the Trek universe. Too big, too bulky, too military. Any other movie, sure, neat gun, but...

I'm pretty excited about the tricorder, thats about it, ships would be nice too, I just hope they'll end up coming out with other items also, since they dont have the star wars liscence anymore, what else they gonna focus on?

After having a Comm510 tricorder in my collection, I really can't see anyone else outing that! I've had a lot of the MR stuff but dumped it all except for the TOS tricorder. For two reasons. One it's my favorite prop of all, and two, it was an anniversary present from my wife, who even though she got it for me, couldn't understand why I wanted a toy! Now THAT is love!

I only collect TOS stuff, but I can't imagine them making else that I'll feel the need to own as much as the phaser, communicator and tricorder. The klingon phaser was the only one I was up in the air about buying and is now the only one I don't really feel like I "need".

I've been waiting for that assault phaser since it was initially mentioned by MR, I believe almost two years ago.

I may pick up the tricorder, and I'll definitely purchase the Galactica helmets. I've wanted a good Viper pilot helmet for years. Since 1978, really.

I have personally seen prototypes and casts of these pieces (can't say where, sorry) and they look like they will kick some ass! Especially the assault phaser. My only concern was the assault phaser was smaller than I thought!
