ARE WE GONNA SEE THE PREDATOR HOMEWORLD

Just been searching through a site and read this that i found

So you’ve been dying to see the Predator homeworld, huh? (Well, aren’t you?) Then you might just get your chance with the upcoming “Aliens vs. Predators 2: Requiem”, which promises to take a little visit to the Predator homeworld either before or after the action on Earth as depicted in the film. The boys over at ShockTilYouDrop got a scoop from an anonymous source who telephoned them (really? I didn’t know scoopers actually did this. Hmm…) and filled them in on the good news. That is, if you’ve always wanted to see the Predator homeworld. Well, have you or haven’t you?

yeah i had read something from an interview with the Brothers Strause in which one of the brothers had sort of made mention in a very discrete way that we might catch a glimpse of the predator home world. Now weather we see a planet with the ship holding "wolf" come out of the distance or if we actually see the distress signal coming in and see wolf on the home world getting his orders, i don't know.

Personally, i am a little anxious about this, and not in a good way. I mean, thats what keeps so much of the mystery and persona of this creature. You don't know where he's from or what they are completely all about. They don't need to be explained or try to have the audience "identify" with them. They are the damn villain for God's sake. We aren't supposed to "identify" with them, they aren't a super hero. They are supposed to be a secretive society completely shrouded in mystery and they go to extraordinary lengths to keep it this way. I'm not so sure if i'm really wanting this to happen.

We'll see though right?

We've known about this for a while, but the details arent known yet.

What we see of the homeworld may be cool and wicked, or dissapointing. Gotta wait for the movie!

Be careful about posting threads with misleading titles. DH, you really should edit the title of this post by substituting "we're GONNA see the predator homeworld" with "we MIGHT see the predator homeworld."
Digging a little deeper into this, here's more info on the rumor contained in the article linked by DH and the sub-link to a Fangoria article that gives a muddled impression of the whole affair. Nowhere in them is there a 100% confirmation of seeing the predator homeworld.

Had I not tasted disapointment with the first AVP I would be really excited right now, but... there's alot of ways this can go from OH COOL to ahhhhhh crap.

I personally like to think that Preds DON'T have a homeworld. I like to consider them nomadic species.

When you consider the advanced technical capability of these creatures, it stands to reason that there would be an advanced society from which they come from, and hence a homeworld. I agree about the nomadic part----dovetails with what we saw in P1. Maybe there's a way to preserve the mystery of the homeworld by considering the fact that since preds travel throughout space, they might have outposts in a few locations.

Since the movie's already in the can, this discussion is academic at this point, but perhaps Mr. Wolf could have been dispatched from one of these outposts.

I have the inside scoop, I know what the homeworld is going to look like... the Predator homeworld will be riddled with Fox executives in business districts arguing on whether or not there should be a Predator Girl Pop band on the homeworld or not, so they can make some extra money by showing alien fan service...

After the movie fails they will try to push the band's first new single 'Y did U break my heart? (Then rip it out and eat it)' featuring Paris Hilton. You just wait.

I think the homeworld concept should be left a mistery and open to the fan's & viewer's imagination.

well sadly its not our choice , lets see what they do. I really don't think it should be up to them to decide what it looks like.
As many have said they just shouldn't show it.

Well, if they are some sort of humanoid society, they wouldn't just be killing stuff all the time on their homeworld for eye candy for viewers. They would be doing mundane activities like the rest of us humans do.....cooking, cleaning, taking care of their children, etc.

As if this film DOESNT have enough to do already !!, i mean it has to clean up the **** of AVP, get both characters back in the HORROR realm, and get the pred back to his roots, these are huge tasks.

now we have the possibility of seeing the home world ? GOD HELP THEM if they screw it up ! !

Personally i dont want to see it, id prefer it to be floating around our furtive imaginations, but if they have, , , , i so so so so hope its a fleeting glimse, and they dont try and explain ****.
