Applying hair to sculpts

Hi all, need some advice on hair

I have started a new sculpt and want this one to be great, in my first sculpt I applied hair using epoxy resin after bakin but it just didn't come out great.

The material for hair I will be using is fluffy feather like (maybe marabou feathers?), not sure if synthetic or real as I have not chosen yet, but I assume synthetic would need to be added before baking as it may melt?

I have heard of punching hair, just glueing, hair plugs, rooting.

I wondering what the general preferred method is ?
I feel like glue would be really messy..

thanks all

I use synthetic hair and glue it down in rows with rubber cement IMG_1570.JPG

The most poplular method is hair punching. This is when you use the eye of a small needle to take a small cluster of hair and punch it into the sculpt. This only works though for sculpts with rubber. If you're useing wax you heat tip of the needle just hot enough to heat puncture the wax and not burn the hair.
