I had thought the lenses were a different colour in ESB....I could very well be wrong tho.....

EDIT...my mistake...they are the same flat green tinted acrylic lenses as ANH...

I have no interest in trooping, but I've been looking into Vader and Storm Trooper costumes/armor to set up display mannequins. The reported "idealized" look of this armor sounds like what I would be interested in. I'll be keeping my eye on this. I might be ready for it by summer '06. Thanks for the reviews and pics.

Just to confirm: Will someone verify that AP and ABS80 are the same suit of aror? Thanks

I'll vouch for him too. His service was excellent and the armour is amazing. The fact that he used .80 was great too. I'm pretty concerned with my armour's durability since I plan troop with dirty sandtroooper armour. The reason I mention this is because he actually asked us what guage we would prefer. He gave us the advantages and disadvantages for two choices and made a decision based on our feedback. Looks like he understands that people who are willing to send him massive quantities of money want good service and quality. I would highly recommend him to looking for high quality gear.

I actually voted for .60, but now that everyone seems to really like the thickness im glad .80 was the winner since that seems to make this unique among many other accurate suits

i bought some months ago an AP stunt helmet kit - looking the left eye i suppose it's from ANH - what is the exact origin of this helmet?

Dagnabit. I gotta get me one of those. Trooping in the hero gives me a headach due to the bubble lenses. I also like the wider dome and of course, the bigger mouth. Don't suppose you'd want to turn loose of yours? ;)

Hi skyit,

Love your helmet but it shares the same inaccurate mic tips given with the GF helmets.

If you want really accurate ANH mic tips (hovi mix type) contact Keith who is a member here he will sort you out for super accurate mic tips.

Cheers Chris.

Does it fit you so snugly that you have to have padding around the eyes.?

i take carefull of my nase.. i am afraid when trooping to break somewhere with the helmet, so it's just for prevention (prevention is my work :p)

nobody knows the exact origin of the ap helmet?

i also have an AP bucket... i'm pretty sure it was one of the first ones he/they made. i bought it finished, and it is signed inside.

this pic is from the burger king revenge of the sith event in vegas... the left helmet is an fx, the middle is (i think) a gino (it was the helmet that mirax had, i want to say it was either brak's helmet, or he painted it, or something)

i love the helmet, and if i thought i could wear more accurately sized armor i'd be all over it. unfortunately, there's still a good 30 pounds between me and that armor.
