Anyone working on a Mat Smith Sonic Screwdriver?

Really? huh, i was rather hoping he would blow up the current model XD

AWESOME! I kinda hoped they would. It makes more sense and hey, it also proves that the new series is indeed a continuation of the current series. ^_^

Also, I haven't seen this picture around yet, it appears to be Matt Smith in what's left of Tennant's suit after regenerating:

In the process of searching for that image, I came across a great many of him in his normal street clothes and I noticed that real world Matt Smith dresses like a real douche.

Just had to mention it. Back to your scheduled programming.

Awesome. Also, I wasn't aware the censored word I wrote above would be censor-worthy, sorry about that.

It doesn't SEEM like it has any moving parts (maybe to prevent fragileness that the Eccleston/Tennant SSs were notorious for?). Maybe if MFX works on this, they'll have room inside for sound :)

Upon seeing that nice new pic, I have to say it looks nice and cool.

I like the copper details- looks like our good Doctor has been taking some notes from The Master's screwdriver with those and the wider emitter section...

Darn it, now I really want that thing :lol

The three silver 'prongs' around the blue emitter open out- this is the moving feature.

Just don't ask how I know...

:angel

Goodness- so this will be (correct me if I'm wrong) the first sonic screwdriver that doesn't extend out?

That's a change, alright...

All my kids call me 'Mr Christmas' because I love that time of year and start litsening to Christmas music in the car in late November. I just can't help myself. But having watched 'Waters of Mars' last Sunday (one of the few advantages of living in the UK) and then reading this thread, it brings a whole new meaning to the time of year.

I cannot work out if I am massively excited or just ******** myself over what is going to happen.

What makes it worse is that I am mid 40s but feel like I am 10 again.

Bring it on.

I'm not certain, but I think the emitter extends when the 'prongs' move- just not as much as the Eccleston/Tennant model.

looks like the llandaff area of cardiff were they did the ww1 rememberace/ popy day episode just around the corner from me!

If the prongs open out on it, then it will look too much like the Masters tissue compression thingy.

Yeah, for some reason, opening and closing prongs make me think of evilness. I hope it just extends a little bit like the previous ones.
