Anyone with Noble's Mad Eye Moody Staff?

I've been to their website, but the pictures left a bit to be desired. Anyone here with one that would care to give a review, or post some shots? Thanks.

Or, for that matter, has anyone tried carving their own? Nothing about it looks "easy" but constructing the length that splits off and rejoins the main body of the staff looks particularly... dissuading.

If you do pick one of those up Tom, let me know what you think. I've been kicking around getting one also.

Ok ,yes I do have one. Yes it is very heavy. But as far as I can tell it is very much like the one used in the show. It is a great display peice but not really usable for a staff. It is big but appears to be well made. I got it as a Christmas gift from my in-laws they do know how to buy Christmas gifts.
Hope that helps.

Darn - Fyberdyne, I interpreted the earlier comments to mean you made them. Oh well! :) I found a decently gnarled staff recently, but carving and attaching the ram skull would be a challenge, ditto the part that winds around the staff... the hoof would be the only "easy" part.

I too am lazy. I have to want something pretty bad to make it. Beside my mother and father in-law purchased the staff for me. So I didn't have to spend my money that even better.

I don't know if anyone still checks this but....I have one of these and I love the way it looks..BUT.. it CAN NOT be used it's made of resin. I'm looking for someone who can make me one out of wood. Any suggestions I live in south texas.

I bought the staff last year at Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando. It's the same as the Noble Collection, and is very heavy. I got it back home and promptly broke it in half by laying it in the floor, and accidently stepping on it. After the amount spent on it, I almost cried (ok, I did, so sue me). Though by breaking it, I did learn that it's got a hollow tube running up the middle of it with a resin (at least I think it was resin) dowel going through the length of the staff. I took some of that out, drilled through what I couldn't, and inserted a metal rod and used gorilla glue to hold the two pieces into place. Now it's hard to tell where the break is unless you really look for it. I used it with my Moody costume at an advance screening of Deathly Hallows and the midnight and it's held up pretty good so far. Though I would like to cast it some day and make a lighter version of it.

I went to website but nothing is there, does anyone know where to purchase this item in the US, I found one over seas but shipping was going to cost a fortune. Thank You

Are Noble still selling this? Looking at getting/making on. Might have to go hunting around the woods for a bit to try to find a suitable piece.:lol
