anyone use dragon skin q before

Just wanted to see if anyone has worked with this stuff before, its sorta like latex but very elastic. Im using it to skin my chewbacca undermask since i have working mouth that opens/closes. The whole costume will be done in another week or so. Just wanted to see if anyone had tips, i was planning on applying right onto the mask with a brush, build it up in layers essentially. thanks kevin

I found that using the Q i get way more bubbles in my casting then i do with the regular dragonskin. If your planning on brushing it on, your going to have problems with bubbles. But other than that its really easy to work with.

agreed...if you need the mold to be real smooth...you may want to try something else. The DS is strong stuff though and will last a ton of pulls.

all i know about it is buster got a whole new body made out of it, and its held up surprisingly well considering the hell he gets put through.

smooth-on needs to get in touch with the mythbusters to sign an endorsement deal :lol
