I have both the tdk, and begins suit... As well as a daredevil, which in my opinion is the best due to the fact that the original was leather. But back to your original question I'm probably more impressed with the begins suit as far as looks(keep in mind that you have to get the tdk boots, then some gauntlets from another source.) the tdk suit that I have is from the first addition and from what I understand the second had some kinks worked out.

Also i do believe that I would prefer to wear the tdk suit for a longer period of time, unfortunately it's been a couple of years since I've worn the tdk suit so this may not be the best comparison. As far as the TFA suit i just saw it in person this last weekend and was impressed with the colors unfortunately the person wearing it did not do the suit justice. So unlike the batman series witch will possibly hide a less athletic build the TFA will not flatter. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I spoke with the UDR owner today and he eluded to the idea that the TDK suit may not breathe as well as the DKR suit. I do believe each suit has gauntlets and boots both when you buy the entire suit.
Thanks for info on TFA. I have a build that will be fine in it I believe (broad shoulders and 10" drop on the waist). My issue is finding an appropriate, film-grade helmet (custom made for my big head, I am sure [~7 3/4 yo 7 7/8 depending]).

well, as far as a film-grade helmet is concerned, there are lots of folks here that can help you. Myself, and a few others, quite like Roblenzz, and there are others around. Just hit search and see what some of these amazing creators are doing!

It seems that you may have narrowed it out, but just to be clear the begins suit is the one I was talking about when I said you would need other boots and gaunlets because david made that suit with boots and gloves based off the 89 batman film. But that might not bother you as it did me.
As for the cap mask Looch is right I cant go through a page without seeing someone offering a TFA helmet.

Does this mean I will need a "hyper-custom" (or whatever) helmet? I have spoken with a couple of very talented and kind makers here (2 so far) and my big old head is "in the way" of me getting a helmet so far.

I cant decide on what I like Better... TDK or Begins....I have a possible Begins full suit to buy for 1100 but I cant seem to find any full dressed photos with mask and cape.... Anyone know where I can seee one of those? And what do you think of the Begins suit for my first one? Comicon NY is around the corner!

Not sure if OP is stlll interested to know considering this was posted in late June but I'll throw in my 2 cents FWIW. I own the TDK and TFA suits, was never a fan of the BB suit as I like suit designs that combine function and form.
I like the TFA suit more than the TDK suit. I have the right athletic build to do this suit justice and the way it fits and looks is nothing short of amazing. My only complaint is that the leather has a bit of a shine to it and the blue looks a tiny bit brighter than it should (could just be the newness), but other than that it's extremely close to screen accurate. I've since given the suit the distressed treatment and it makes the colors look more screen accurate. I would've also preferred the belt that came with the suit have more discreet straps on the back, but I'm in the process of adding a cover over the straps to make the back look more screen accurate.
Nothing against the TDK as it's super easy to wear and use as a costume, but the leather material just makes it tough to be as screen accurate. I'm also not a huge fan of the chest cover, I would've preferred it to wrap around the sides of the chest more. The whole suit does look a TON better when you get the cowl and cape on. I also did some minor mods on the suit to make it more screen accurate, specifically the cape mount points, removed the jacket neck guard to use my urethane neck guard, and modified the leather gauntlets to have the two rows of fins.
Overall both suits are as comfortable as they can be for costume or motorcycle wear, don't expect casual apparel comfort here but certainly will be easier to wear and troop around than your typical handmade costumes. The TFA suit is definitely more comfortable than the TDK suit, not as rigid on the torso area and allows for more movement. For best comfort you will need to remove the jacket windbreaker and CE armor inserts, they don't add much if any to the look of the suit (unless you're a really skinny person) and for costuming, they're useless.
Unfortunately last I heard from David they are sold out on the Cap suits and are no longer taking orders.

That was for Captain America. We don't offer our Batman line to any US retailers. Batman for the time being is exclusive to UD Replicas.
