Anyone make their own platform shoes?(Gene Simmons)

I want to build my own Kiss boots. I found a pair of flat boots that fit into the Dragon heads, but I can't find the thick crepe soles to add on to the boot.

Any ideas, or on the flip side, is there a strong, lightweight wood that I could mill down?
