Anyone make a ss snowspeeder kit?

As some of you may have seen I recently reworked a Hasbro Snowspeeder by changing a few things and giving it a new paintjob. But, I was wondering if anyone has ever offered a ss kit, or something even close. I can no way afford an MR piece and I'd probably repaint it anyway. Anyone know of anything?

In case you were wondering, here is a pic of my Hasbro ship...

Hi,

I haven't been on the boards for a while, and some time ago I did mention I was doing a SS Snowspeeder kit. I just wanted to say I'm still on the case. Lately I've been swamped with other patternmaking work...which is good for me as it pays the bills!...but doesn't help me make a big T47.

I've just tried to post up some pics of the initial CNC'd parts layout and some renders of the gun parts that I'm having SLA'd up, but I can't get any images to load up. Its been a long time since I tried to do that here so maybe something has changed? - any help gratefully recieved and I'll put up what I've got, such as it is.

My intention is still to do moveable airbrakes and have custom sculpted pilots so it should be a nice model to have )

Cheers
Nick

I'd be also interested in a SS version of that craft. I have the MR version and like it pretty much, but it's "just" 3/4 size. However, I doubt that a studio scale resin kit will be much cheaper then the MR snowspeeder.

Yeah true, if you can't afford an MR speeder, I doubt you would be able to afford a studio scale kit. The studio scale is bigger than the MR . You can find MR's for about $ 300 every now and then on ebay.

Good point, most studio scale kits begin at $350. The MR one, though not true Studio Scale is a good buy for a painted/finished buildup. Ih my opinion, it's one of the best Paintjobs MR has done on a ss model. If I were collecting ESB stuff, I'd have jumped on this one.

Having said that, if you are holding out for true SS, I'd advise waiting until you can get a decent full size ss kit.........just be expected to shell out the cash for it.
