Anyone know the paint that turns into metal when it dries?

It might not be made any more - Sculptmetal. It came in a heavy quart-sized paint can... man that stuff was rad.

I think that was it. Gonna look for the Nouveux(I live in New Orleans, so i am forced to spell things that way) stuff.

Thanks for the input so far.

As for my name, you don't want to know!;)

Nice! Looks JUST like Sculpt-metal. I wonder if it was rebranded/reborn? It's basically a laquer-based aluminum slurry. When the laquer evaporates, it leaves a metal-like surface.

It has been years since I used Lab Metal but when I did it was really thick like a paste. I'm not sure how much it could be cut down to be used like a paint. IMHO it's not something you could use to get a fine thin finish.

Pat Smear from The Germs? Is that you?!?!

Nope just got the name!;)

My friends gave it to me when I was a kid and have used it ever since. This was after the germs but way before he was in the public eye with the Chili Peppers. Also went by Pat Fish for a little while.
