Anyone know anything about hat repair and cleaning?

Basically I have an old Joker hat from '89 made of wool. I'd like to find a way to clean and reshape (it's not quite so stiff anymore). I was thinking about finding a company that could do it, along w/ adding a lining, but it's not as though I have unlimited funds. Can anyone either recommend a company that will do this, or tell me if there's a way to spruce up my hat myself?

You can reshape a wool hat by running it over a steaming pot of water, just don't get it too damp or burn yourself. When it gets moist you can reshape it then set it aside to cool/dry and it will keep the set. Be cautious with the steam and when you go to let it cool if you don't support it correctly it will flatten from gravity.
